The Family-Sized Flex Machine

The 6 MAX hitch rack is all about balance: 25 cm spacing keeps things compact, while a special 30 cm gap between tyre baskets 3 & 4 gives a bit of extra elbow room when needed. It’s perfect for families with a mix of mountain bikes and kid-sized rides. Like all MAX models, it offers 45 kg per tyre basket, smooth, damper assisted lowering to load position, and a garage mount for tidy storage. Bring the whole gang—this rack’s ready.

- 25 cm spacing between tyre baskets (30 cm between 3 & 4)
- Easy roll-in, roll-out loading - no lifting bikes required
- Self lowering with damper assist
- Garage mount bracket included for rack and bike storage in the garage
- Improved release lever for easier actuation
- Tyre only contact with the bike rack
- Full access to rear of vehicle for most lift gates and rear hatches when in the loading position

Height - 149 cm

* VelociRAX tyre straps are considered wear items and should be regularly inspected for signs of cracking, stretching, or damage, and replaced as needed to ensure safe use.

- 50mm (2") Class III hitch (tow bar) with tongue capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs)
- 86mm (3 3/8 inch) depth past center of hitch pin hole to insert a VelociRAX
-Fixed tow balls are NOT compatible with VelociRAX hitch racks
- RVs/Trailers: you will need to have a Class III 50mm (2 inch) hitch receiver (tow bar) with a tongue weight capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs) at a minimum (bumper hitches, extension hitches, and hitches with cantilevered sections allow too much hitch movement and are inadequate). One item to check is if a ladder could possibly interfere with the rack. Trailers and RVs produce extreme forces on racks and bikes. Take extra care to strap tight and use rubber bands (or bike tubes cut in ~ 25mm (1 inch sections)) placed on the brake levers to decrease natural motion between bike and rack and fully secure the VelociRAX's built-in anti-rattle system.
- As with any vertical rack low clearance vehicles hauling long wheelbase bikes need to be careful, especially when backing up.
- Any non-VelociRAX products used in conjunction with VelociRAX racks, including third-party accessories (swing arms, extensions, sleeve reducers, etc.) or modifications, will void the VelociRAX warranty.
